The beams of light returned as he extinguished his torch. They were hitting the wall along the stone border...but nowhere in particular.

"Guys I'm going to spin the pedestal. Stay out of the light, but watch what it reveals along the wall and in that carving."

"I don't know Trunks. If we try to spin it before we've done the proper thing with the orbs, we could set off a trap. Call it a gut feeling."
Blu sighed. "We can't really figure out which way is right or wrong until we try one... what should it be?"

Ayame was nervous about what might happen after their previous experiences, but she might as well just leave the temple now if she wasn't willing to act.
"Go for it Trunks."

Trunks nodded.
"Okay. Here we go."
Trunks reached down and took the three orbs from the ground. He ducked under the light and walked over and handed them to Blu and Ayame.
"Alright, Let's try putting these in at the same time."
Trunks returned to his side making sure to duck under the light again.
"Now, don't touch the light but place them in the holes on the count of three."
He waited for them to get into position.
"One...... two...... three"
On three he put the orb into the hole.

On 'three' the orbs were placed in the depressions. The orbs and the carving on the far wall all flashed a bright blue, lighting up the room momentarily before extinguishing once more. Once the light had died, the orbs fell from their seats in the wall. They clinked off the floor, but did not shatter upon impact.

Blu lifted his orb from the floor. "Well, that didn't work. Maybe we ought go with Trunks suggestion then and line up the light on the depressions first. Let me just make sure this is safe first..."
Stepping beside the beam of light, Blu lifted his cape into the path of the beam to see what effect, if any, it would have.

She picked up her orb with a frown, then looked about the room to see if any changes had occurred. In the dim light, she didn't notice anything new or moved.
"Well, that didn't work. Maybe we ought go with Trunks suggestion then and line up the light on the depressions first. Let me just make sure this is safe first..."
Ayame braced herself for the consequences of the mage's actions. The beams of light hit his cape like any ordinary light, with no damage done. Seeing no traps sprung, she relaxed a bit.
"So we're going to light the depressions and then try to put these back in the wall?"

"Yep"
Trunks grabbed the pedestal and spun it so that the light would hit the holes in the walls.
"Again on three. One ...... two..... three"
Again he reinserted the orb.

On the count of three, the orbs were placed in their illuminated spots. They flashed blue once more and began to die, but this time instead of completely going out, they maintained a soft glow. The large engraving on the far wall faded much like the floor had in the Sun room. Tucked back in the way was a blue orb with a crescent moon decorating it.
