In the middle of nowhere in particular sat an abandoned temple -- it was a large stone dome. Any general estimation placed the height at about 50 feet with a matching diameter. From the outside, it looked to be long-unattended. The Earth had begun to take back its materials, covering the stone building in moss, weeds and other various vegetation. No stones had crumbled yet, though cracks were quite noticeable, stretching all over the shell. There were no windows visible anywhere. Amid some twisted trees and shrubbery was a partially-hidden the entrance...it was a simple square doorway that led into a hallway (creating something similar in appearance to an igloo). Beyond that, the light could not reach.
Stories had been passed down through families and villages of that abandoned temple. Some spoke of wealth hidden within. Others spoke of the horrors that haunted it. Some said your soul's desire would be granted...others that your soul would be stolen. But for all the stories, it seemed not one person alive today could say they had truly ventured in. Black markets and shady merchants claim to have maps for sale of the secret chambers...for a price.
So sits the unnamed temple, lost in a vast unsettled land, waiting...

The Saiyan prince walked into a small village and stopped to look around. This village was full of small huts with hatched roofs with no doors or windows. Based on the hanging skins and baskets of fruit this village was home to a tribe of hunters and gatherers. From the start he knew that he didn’t fit in wearing his Capsule Corp jacket and Tapion’s sword on his back. This is very different from his normal black tank top and streams of flames, but Trunks needed to fit in this time. He needed information as to the location of this hidden temple, and scaring people away would only hinder that purpose.
This village was just one of many that he had traveled to, but all the information led him here. As he continued to into the village the people ran and hid in their homes. Obviously, they weren’t accustomed to seeing outsiders. Only one man stood still refusing to run. Based on his appearance Trunks deduced that he was the leader or holy man. On top of his head were many feathers that looked much like a crown of some sort. The rest of his body was decorated with all kinds of bracelets and necklaces all of which none of the other villagers wore.
As Trunks approached he bowed slightly to show respect to this man who was steadfast. Before the Saiyan could utter a word the man started screaming at him in a language he had never heard before and waved his hands in a manner that would suggest that all he was saying was “Get out of my village.”
Quickly, before they this man decided to get violent, Trunks pulled a small piece of cloth from one of the inside pockets of his jacket opened it up and shoved it in the face of the screaming man. Just like that the man shut up as if he were ordered by God to do so. Again he began to speak, but much calmer. Trunks could still not understand, but the man pointed to the forest. As Trunks surveyed the horizon all he could see were trees but miles and miles away there was something not natural. Just above the tree line was the tip of a dome. Quickly, Trunks bowed said thank you and took off flying above the trees toward the dome.
As he got closer the dome became clearer. Surrounded by a field the dome looked out of place. Something wasn’t right about this place, but that didn’t matter. Trunks needed what was inside this temple and would do anything to get it. As he landed he pulled out the cloth again and held it up to the dome. The rough sketch that was on the cloth looked almost identical to what the actual dome looked like. Finally reaching his destination Trunks headed for the opening.

Meanwhile, on a different side of the forest, a female figure was making its way through the thick growth. The girl slipped through gaps between trees, saplings and other vegetation, despite being equipped with two blades that could have easily hacked a messy trail. Her destination was mentally marked from previous days of hunting about a shady marketplace for clues; she carried no map. Half of her fun was the trip and all that happened along the way. Probably only by pure luck did she arrive here now.
As a change to her normal training, Ayame's father had sent her out to better herself in her own way. It was no secret that she didn't appreciate one-on-one death matches the same as Cloud and Dota did, so she was free to hone her skills as she saw fit. Getting out and taking a stroll to a place that may or may not exist was a far better substitution to destroying her home and everything around it, in her opinion.
Her modified gi was black with some blue trim. Twin pauldrons sat upon her shoulders. They were simple, light but effective enough for previous encounters. A daisho set was tied snuggly at the base of her back. Her wings were folded on her back to keep from interfering with her precise movements. Unlike her mother, she felt no reason to hide them...though this may stem from arrogance and lack of experience.
A break in the forest was in sight. Ayame used one trunk to leap higher to another and then another, making her way upwards into the branches of a sturdy old tree that bordered the grasses. She wanted a better look of what laid beyond. Much to her surprise was a dome that matched closely to descriptions she'd heard. She was about to jump down into the grass when she noted another individual's approach...

Resting with his back to a thin wooden wall, Blu smiled. On the other side of the thin partition, he could hear Eladamri's angered voice, followed by a calmer one, and the sound of footsteps receding into the forest. For a village elder, Eladamri's acting skills were appreciable.
Blu wasn't in this village for any reason in particular. He had just been wandering, as always. A desire for a forest-themed month had led him into the jungle, and he had arrived here a week ago--a long enough time to learn a bit of the local language, a bit of the local cuisine, and a lot of the local young women.
He had known that Trunks was coming, and he could guess why. News travels fast--faster than a saiyajin--even between scattered and primitive villages. And of course, the odd domed temple that lay nearby was the only thing of interest in the area--and Trunks didn't seem the type for an idle walk in the woods.
Blu had no idea what the Hell-sent saiyajin's purpose was at the temple, but the chance of their paths coincidentally crossing (Blu hadn't even known of the temple until he reached this village) seemed small, and when Trunks was involved, Blu trusted coincidence even less. So he had Eladamri point Trunks in the right direction, where Blu could sate his curiosity appropriately.
The roof thatch rippled gently as the elder entered his hut, and Blu stood to say his goodbyes. He placed his hands briefly on his shoulders, the locals' gesture of thanks, and then left the hut, carrying only his travel pack and Eladamri's wellwishes on his journey. He avoided being seen on his way out of the village--the village girls' sad tears and promises to return would only slow him down. At the treeline, he leaped into the bow of the first tree, rushing then through the treetops. He had had one of the braver of the young village boys show him a shortcut to the temple. He intended to be the one greeting Trunks' arrival, not the other way around.

As the Saiyan prince approached the door he noticed that there weren't any actual lights inside, at least as far as he could see. Fortunately, a super saiyan never actually needs a light source. Before getting to black hallway the Saiyan's long purple hair shot up above his head turning a bright gold. In the same instant a golden aura rose around him illuminating the area. Just then as he put one foot inside the entryway he sensed a familar presence.
He stepped back out and looked around. Based on his face and emotions one would never think that this man had ever lead the armies of hell. In a calm voice he called out "Ayame, I know you're here"
He waited there for her... hoping that she would come out.

Ayame hopped down from her nearby perch to greet the saiya-jin. She offered a friendly smile to him with no particular worries about his present super saiya-jin state. Ayame was aware of the ever-changing relationship between Trunks and her mother but had no personal fear of either. Perhaps some day one of them would make a fatal careless mistake, but there was no use in trying to stop their game. She figured it probably filled an otherwise lonely void for each of them.
“You found me out. What are you doing here?”
As she reached Trunks and the dome, Ayame took her first glance inside the entrance of the building. All she could make out were the stone walls stretching into darkness.

Well... Blu had been debating on when to reveal himself, but that was certainly the best reason he was going to find. He released one part of his lashknife chain, allowing the weapon to lower him to the ground from his hidden perch atop the entrance to the temple.
"Hi Trunks, long time." The kanji mage practically acted like the super saiyajin was not even there (not always the best idea), moving immediately to the beauty before him. The blades strapped to her back were not hidden, and nor were her wings. Even without them, though, the resemblance was almost unmistakable. Dota's unaging face could well be that of this girl's sister, but something of her demeanor made Blu assume that this was the ice goddess' daughter.
Dropping to one knee, Blu gently took her hand and kissed its back. Considering Dota's temperament, he rather hoped that her daughter wouldn't try to behead him for even touching her, but that was a risk very much worth taking. Finding himself thankfully still in possession of his cranial resources, he moved back to his feet, gave a slight bow, and a large smile.
"Ayame, was it? It is my distinct pleasure to make your acquaintance. I must say, you bear a striking resemblance to a certain winged being I've met before. Your mother perhaps? But no matter--you can tell me all about yourself as we get to know each other better."
Turning back to Trunks, Blu put his hand on the saiyajin's shoulder, ignoring the look on his face to lean in close and whisper, "Trunks, remind me to have you introduce me to your friends a lot more often."

Trunks couldn't react to the girl that was standing there before him. The last time he had seen her she was just a small child. Based on her appearance alone he could tell that she didn't need the protection of this saiyan any longer. Although it made him quite sad he realized that she had to grow up at some point. Trunks was about to answer her question and to tell her all about the treasures that he had heard about. Then suddenly he heard the voice of an old friend.
"Hi Trunks, long time."
Immediately the Saiyan prince knew where he was going and the thought of it made him furious. Like any big brother, the thought of some sleazy guy touching his little sister was enough to kill, but surprisingly he stayed calm. Blu placed his hand on Trunks shoulder and whispered.
"Trunks, remind me to have you introduce me to your friends a lot more often."
What Blu hadn’t noticed while he was flirting with Ayame was Trunks unsheathing his sword and hiding it by his side. When Blu finished his sentence Trunks turned the blade and slid it up the mage’s thigh.
Trunks whispered back, “Don’t think about it.” The Saiyan prince then spoke up “and as for your question.” Now looking at Ayame “I’ve heard stories of an object that would grant, those that found it, the one thing that they truly desired. I want nothing more than to be free of hell and this is my last chance so I’m going in to get it.”

It seemed this newcomer was familiar with Trunks, calling him by name. Before Ayame really had a moment to react, her hand was taken to the lips of this man. He might have been excused, had he not interrupted her reunion with Trunks. He was rewarded with an uncomfortable and disapproving look.
"Ayame, was it? It is my distinct pleasure to make your acquaintance. I must say, you bear a striking resemblance to a certain winged being I've met before. Your mother perhaps? But no matter--you can tell me all about yourself as we get to know each other better."
"Y..es...?"
She replied to the inquiry of her mother and certainly not to the future time they'd spend together. It was risky business openly claiming her ties to Dota since her mother often picked fights with everyone she ran into. However, with Trunks present, Ayame wasn't too apprehensive.
“I’ve heard stories of an object that would grant, those that found it, the one thing that they truly desired. I want nothing more than to be free of hell and this is my last chance so I’m going in to get it.”
"You know, depending on who you ask, I've heard that it takes your soul instead. I guess your wish is worth the risk."
She didn't mean this to sound harsh.
"What about you?"
Ayame turned her question towards the man who had joined them.

Glad to see you're just as much fun as ever, Trunks... Blu thought to himself.
"What about you?"
Blu smiled at the question. He knew it wouldn't take long for someone to ask.
"I'm just here for the fun of it. Though if it grants me any wish, a lifetime or two with a beautiful young lady such as yourself wouldn't be too bad. And if it tears my soul from my body and sends it to Hell--I hear Trunks can throw a mean party."
