Trunks was obviously intent on not letting her get close. Mio watched as many threads of hellfire twirled around her axe in a crimson dance. As he released the flames toward her, Mio didn't move. These were threads like any other--hellfire or not, surely Mio could weave them harmlessly away.
As the flames headed toward her, however, the threads did not obey her command. She focused harder, but still, the flames tore toward her, growing in size as they neared. In a panic, she unwove all of the water from the air around her, surrounding herself in the threads as she curled into a ball.
After the flames passed, Mio lay there, crouched on the ground, shivering. Her body was a patchwork of light burns, but she was alive and relatively unharmed. She didn't stand up, though. Instead, she huddled on the ground, curled in her own arms, repeating the same thing. "I couldn't weave it. I couldn't weave it. I was so scared..."

”Rio?!”
Unaliari looked around, confused. The battlefield was plain enough that the grassy scenery barely changed, but the fights around them did radically.
“What did you d…”
”I believe you were looking for them?”
Unaliari looked in the direction the new Blu indicated. Without any regard to the winged person, the alchemist ran ahead.
“Silenus!”
A sudden rumble in the ground was the brief warning before ice burst forth from the earth. It came out at an angle, pointing directly towards Unaliari’s midsection. She threw up the spear in front of her, bracing it at either end. The impact of the ice against it knocked the weapon from her hands as she went flying backwards and tumbled across the ground back to Blu’s feet. She didn’t get up immediately, but was clearly alive.
Omega had been inspecting Silenus’ wrists when she’d heard the call of the alchemist. Agitated with the approaching interference, she’d thrown an arm out as she spun to face Unaliari. That’s when the wave of ice had torn through the ground. Her other hand still clasped Silenus’ arm tightly.
Omega noticed Blu accompanied the Eclyptian. Of course, this was a different one, the largest change being the wings. Omega wasn’t as easy to impress as Unaliari, however, especially not in the middle of an arena like this. She spoke to both Blu and the downed Unaliari.
“Can this wait? As you can see, I’m busy.”
The area around them was littered with several frozen bodies…obviously people who had previously tried to interrupt Omega.
Silenus turned with Omega, yanked around by the arm. She didn’t possess the expected frightened expression, but had more of a distant, unaware one.

Rio watched as his shuriken stopped in mid air.
"Rio, you know that I'm a hero, right? I don't see why you're so intent on harming me."
Blu rushed forward to attack then without warning the new Blu and Unaliari were gone. Rio looked around for them and at all the battles that were taking place. Rio didn’t like to fight, but he knew in this situation he had to or he would be the one who ended up dead. As he looked around he found a fight with two men against one female. Rio rushed in to help out the girl.

When the flames finally cleared Trunks saw the girl curled into a ball. He’d hurt her, and worse than he expected. He left the axe buried in the earth as he ran over to her.
“I’m sorry”
He reached back into his back pocket and pulled out a red feather. He knew that phoenix down was meant to bring people back from the dead, but a phoenix was well known for its healing properties as well so he had to try. Trunks laid the feather on the girls shoulder, but nothing happened.
Then an idea popped in his head. He stood up and reached into the sky. A bolt of lighting struck his hand. When the light cleared a white sword could be seen. Trunks then placed the sword across the girl and concentrated. At first nothing happened. As much as he tried he couldn’t get the sword to do what he wanted.
Trunks reached deep down inside himself. He remembered a time before hell, before Dota, even before training at all to a time where he truly cared about people. He really didn’t want to see this girl hurt. Most people he didn’t care, but she had yet to experience life. As he continued to concentrate a white glow of holy energy surrounded the girl and his sword. Trunks stood up and then fell back down. His head was spinning.

“Can this wait? As you can see, I’m busy.”
Blu reached out both hands, palms pointed toward the ground. Around his waist, coiled several times around, was some belt-like object of varying black, gold, and silver. At the left hung a short navy blue hilt, at the right hung silver blades, closed so that they resembled a claw. As his hands opened, the entire structure uncoiled of its own volition, the shaft entering his right hand, the hilt of the blade coming to rest in his left. The blades swung open, now resembling something more like a trident.
"Now, Omega, you know me. Patience just isn't one of my strong points--at least not when it comes to having fun."
Blu now dropped to a low crouch, hurling the lashknife blade in a high arc over her head. He then burst forward, staying low to the ground until he reached Omega, at which point his foot came tearing upward toward her face. At the same time, the blade of his weapon would be descending from the sky toward her, aiming to arrive at the opposite side that Blu was on.

"I'm sorry."
Mio stopped crying at this point, and looked up at Trunks, who now stood above her. She sat still for a few seconds, not speaking, after he healed her with his holy sword. Then she took the feather off of her shoulder and stared silently at it. Blushing slightly, she stuffed it carefully into a pocket on the inside of her jacket. Then, finally, she stood. She looked at Trunks, who sat on the ground, obviously taxed, but conscious. A huge smile burst onto her face.
"It's okay, you didn't hurt Mio! She was just a little scared. But we had fun, didn't we?" Her voice was a polar opposite from what it had been during the battle--full of childlike innocence and glee. She reached out a small hand, offering it to the saiyajin.

Omega knew him, and yet she didn’t…not this Blu. There was something much more powerful about this version. For now, she’d handle him with caution rather than let her arrogance get the best of her.
While she visually watched Blu approach, Omega mentally watched the course of the lashknife. It was an impressive weapon indeed. With a twirl, Omega yanked Silenus around, hurling her directly into the path of the kick. Hopefully this would keep Blu busy for a moment while she turned to face his lashknife. The hand that had tossed Silenus was still in motion, crossing in front of Omega with index and middle fingers extended. From them whipped forth a crimson cord of light that would lash out at the blade, solidly connecting against it in a sort of aerial parry.

"It's okay, you didn't hurt Mio! She was just a little scared. But we had fun, didn't we?"
Trunks looked up at the girl in confusion.
"Yeah we had fun...."
This girl was nutty, but there isn't anything that he could do to change that. Trunks reluctantly reached out and grabbed the girls hand.

Despite Omega being, well, Omega, Blu had not expected her to throw Silenus into his attack. The way she had been toying with the girl's bracelets, Blu had assumed that Omega wanted something with the girl--which would preclude her throwing the horse-girl into danger. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case.
Blu had barely any time to react to Silenus' sudden predicament. He forced himself into a sudden pivot, his foot grazing across Silenus' cheek instead of planting into her face. As he stumbled around, he instead shoved her by the shoulder, pushing her to the ground beside him and Omega.
"Quickly! Go to Unaliari!"
In the meantime, Blu fell flat on his face--he had no chance to catch his balance after the sudden abortion of his kick. His lashknife was deflected harmlessly by Omega's cord, and clattered to the ground, though he still held the hilt. This left Blu lying at Omega's feet.
* * * * * * *
It was about this time that the younger (present) Blu awoke. Fortunately, none of the warriors present today had seen need to toy with his unconscious body in any way. Unfortunately, neither had any of the females present.
As he stood, he noticed that everyone was gone. The side of his head was anything but comfortable after the smack the dark-skinned girl had given him--and how did she do that anyways? Of course, Blu liked a woman that could beat him up even more.
For lack of anything else to do, he started walking back into the arena proper, being sure to gather up his lashknife. He quickly came up to Trunks again, who was on the ground, being helped up by what was, without a doubt, a prepubescent girl. This was just too good to pass up.
"Trunks, you got beat up by a little girl? You must be getting old. You really ought lay off the senzu beans a bit--those things are all fat, you know."

Mio recognized the new voice instantly. It was the one who had used the choice word of "squirt" earlier. And there was something else, too...
Regardless, she hadn't been able to see who had called her that name before, but he had foolishly come back to be eviscerated. Mio turned toward the voice after helping Trunks up, ready to take her time and enjoy the pain she was about to cause this man. But then she stopped in her tracks. He was young, but there was no doubt.
"Papa!?"
