Trunks was helped up and then dusted himself off.
"Trunks, you got beat up by a little girl? You must be getting old. You really ought lay off the senzu beans a bit--those things are all fat, you know."
He just glared at Blu, but a smile came to his face. Blu and he were really starting to become friends. Something that Trunks wasn't used to. Not many people befriend a minion from Hell.
"Papa!?"
Trunks immediately turned to face Mio. She wasn't looking at him, just staring straight at Blu. The saiyan let out a small laugh. The thought of Blu settling down was absolutely hilarious. He almost felt bad for the woman who one day would be his wife. As far as he was concerned Blu couldn't stay faithful if his life depended on it. Now it was his turn to give Blu a hard time.
"Right, and who exactly is your mother then Mio?"

Blu's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped. Anything else that was going to come out of his mouth was lost completely.
"Ehhhh? Daughter!?"
"Right, and who exactly is your mother then Mio?"
Mio looked at Trunks blankly. "Ayame, of course."
Blu's jaw dropped even further. Then he thought about it a bit. "Well, maybe having a daughter won't be such a bad thing..."

"Ayame, of course."
"Well, maybe having a daughter won't be such a bad thing..."
Trunks didn't even hear all of what Blu had said. Although this did explain why he had a fondness for Mio, no one touches Ayame. He didn't care if Blu was a friend or not. The saiyan moved so fast that not even lightning would be able to catch up. Trunks sent his knee successfully into Blu's gut. He assumed that Blu would double over. Above his head his hands were interlaced ready to come to come down into the mage's spine.

Unaliari had finally managed to recover. She rose to her feet just in time to see Blu dash towards Omega. Her eyes widened as she saw Omega throw Silenus right in the path of Blu’s kick. She ran towards the battle, a few choice curses flying with her. Unaliari scooped Silenus up in her arms just as Blu hit the ground.
Omega continued in her spin, returning the full 360 at about the time Unaliari arrived. The crimson light continued to slash through the air, wrapping around one of Silenus’ wrists securely. Holding tight to that, Omega planted a foot on Blu’s shoulder, stopping him from rising for the moment. She looked down at him with a glare.
“I really don’t have time for your games today.”
The air around Blu began to condense as an arctic chill swirled around Omega’s victim. She was about to turn Blu into an ice sculpture, much like the other combatants who had crossed her, when she felt the tug of Unaliari trying to escape with Silenus. Her eyes narrowed. While still holding Blu down by the foot, she pointed a finger at the Eclyptian, obviously about to shoot a simple ice spike at the unprepared girl.

Blu was taken entirely by surprise. Nothing could have brought him to expect this attack from Trunks--not even the saiyajin's overprotectiveness of Ayame. He doubled over when the knee met his stomach, and the blow to his back layed him out on the ground. For the second time in ten minutes, Blu was unconscious. Fortunately, this time was only momentary, and he showed signs of stirring.
Mio gasped and jumped in surprise as Trunks made his sudden move. She saw her (young) father battered to the ground, and immediately reached out her arm, her massive axe tearing from the ground and flying to her grip. She didn't make any immediate moves, however, waiting to see if the saiyajin would let it rest at that.
"Trunks, was that really necessary?"

Blu was left completely at Omega's mercy--the foot on his shoulder was enough evidence to that. Luckily for him, though, she seemed preoccupied with Silenus. Still, he had no interest in allowing her to have the girl.
He didn't struggle against her foot yet--that would waste time. Instead, he made a simple command with his mind, causing the three blades laying on the ground at the end of his lashknife chain to dissociate from the weapon. These three blades were surrounded with a bright fuschia light, and suddenly spun swiftly toward the back of Omega's head as if they had a mind of their own.

Once again, Unaliari had been unknowingly rescued by Blu. Omega felt the spark of life shoot through the blades. She used Blu’s shoulder as a push-off to spin away from the deadly back attack. Unfortunately, he hadn’t left her much time and the blades bit past the critical top arm portion of her left wing. She stumbled to the side and fell to one knee with a cry of pain that could not be suppressed, a hand clutching back at the bleeding wing. Her eyes burned furiously with rage. The blood spatters on the ground around her immediately claimed the life of the grass, not laying down a coating of ice, but freezing it solid internally.
The alchemist, in the mean time, took advantage of the distraction and retreated with Silenus, who’s wrist had been freed in all the chaos. She might have completely left, if Blu hadn’t taken the fall to aid Silenus in escaping.

Trunks was about to kick Blu in the ribs when he heard Mio speak.
"Trunks, was that really necessary?"
Trunks was about to turn and respond when giant spear of rock exploded through his chest. The saiyan apparently couldn't detect his own energy pattern. As the older saiyan fell into a pool of his blood a younger more hellish version of himself slowly walked into the fight. With each step the grass around him blackened and died.
"Yes it was. I would never have allowed her to be with that."
He pointed down at Blu shaking his head.
"Damn, I turn into a pansy."
Trunks looked up at the young girl with his deep red eyes.
"As for you. It's your turn to die."
Trunks lifted his hands into the air causing a ring of flames to erupt around the girl. When the ring doubled her hight the top began to curve in creating a dome around her. With each second the dome grew thicker closing in on the girl.

Rio landed softly on his feet after he finished a flying kick to his latest opponent. He couldn't understand why these were the greatest warriors. They were dropping like flies.
Rio unwrapped his arm from his spiked club. His arm felt fine. Before the stick and rope hit the ground it faded into nothingness. The young warrior looked around for his next fight. He was really starting to enjoy this sort of thing.

As the dome of hellfire erupted around her, Mio retook her battle stance. Something about the look in her eyes changed--her mind was back in "battle mode."
She knew better than to try to manipulate Trunks' energy this time. Instead, she calmly began some weaves of her own...
Blu, in the meantime, was forcing himself back to his feet. He pressed his fists into the small of his back and bent over them backwards, cracking his spine loudly the whole way up its length.
"Dammit Trunks, you're really being a bit of an ass to--" His words stopped as he saw the saiyajin lying on the ground, the earthen projectile protruding from his chest. "I sure hope you can regenerate that."
The kanji mage assessed the current situation. He knew of Trunks' hellish links, of course, so he assumed that this new arrival was one from the past. Before he had time to move, his (apparently) future daughter was engulfed in a ring of flames that closed into a dome. Past or present, Trunks is Trunks, he thought to himself. Seconds later, the wall of flames was rent open, Mio's gigantic battleaxe gouging a long tear out of the side of the fiery dome. The girl quickly leapt through the opening, coming upon the past Trunks with weapon before her in a horizontal swipe. Blu had no idea how she had done it (he could not see the wedge of air threads infused with some water woven onto the axe head), but she had. That's my girl.
Knowing he had to help out, he crouched down next to the fallen Trunks, scooping up a liberal amount of saiyajin blood. "Hope you don't mind, friend. After that last hit, I think you owe me anyways." Using the blood on the ground itself, he began to quickly etch a series of symbols.
