Trunks stood slowly only lifting his head to catch the tail end of her hand reforming. The sword was working. Just not enough. As she walked up to him Trunks gripped the sword tightly with both hands.
"I know. Why not let me take you as a student? It's the least I could do, since I owe you and your family so much."
"I think we both know that I already know enough to kill you."
Trunks brought the sword around and swung down to try to get her to block. If she blocked high it would leave her abdomen open for a swift kick to the gut.

"I think we both know that I already know enough to kill you."
How many times had she heard that one?
With that, Trunks attacked. She had hoped that he'd take the bait and engage in a verbal spar that would allow her to discretely inspect the sword undisturbed. Instead, the weapon flew straight at Omega again. She lifted the staff up with both hands to intercept. The sword struck, and for a moment, they were in a parry stand off.
"Oh? What do you think you know?"
Omega noticed the dark mist from her new hand begin to lose its cohesion and be drawn towards the blade. This was concerning, and it distracted her enough such that when the saiyajin booted her in the gut, she wasn't ready. She hit the ground hard, but managed to roll with it and get to her feet in a fluid motion. The long black dress which looked as though it should be a hindrance to her was, in reality, no more permanent than the rest of her being, so there were no restricting threads to battle against. She stood with one hand on her abdomen and glanced briefly at the other to make sure it wasn't still unraveling (it wasn't).
Well, at least she had gotten some information after all: the sword was not to be touched. What kinds of energy it could emit were secondary to whatever this phenomenon was.

Trunks caught a glimpse of the sword's effect on Omega's arm. He had always seen the effects on evil energy. Was that all she was? He wanted nothing more to pull all of her into the sword, but the orb was already getting darker. He didn't want to risk the consequences of letting it turn.
He looked down at the sword.
It's still grey.
He's got time.
Trunks rushed forward and thrusted the blade at Omega. He didn't intend to actually hit her. He just wanted it close.

Trunks rushed Omega, his sword ready for another strike. The thrust, however, was lacking in precision. Was this a consequence of a hefty zweihander or something intentional? Omega used it to her advantage, shifting herself the absolute minimum requirement as to not be pierced by the blade, though that left it dangerously close. It tugged at her essence with an attractive force stronger than what anchored her to Dota. Her arm, shoulder and torso began to lose cohesion, but she didn't waste her chance. With her single good arm, Omega thrust her staff at Trunks. A blade of light emerged from the orb, creating a makeshift spear long enough to reach the saiyajin's rib-cage. If he dodged, she'd use the chance to gain some distance herself, as it wasn't entirely pleasant to feel her body unravel.

Trunks stopped in his tracks and kicked back a bit, just out of the spears reach. His sword flew up knocking the point of the spear away from him. He allowed Omega her space as he formulated, what would probably be, the worst plan ever.
Trunks stuck the blade into the ground and then rushed Omega. With no weapons it looked as if he was going to tackle her. Unfortunately, he needed to wait to see what she did for the rest of the plan. Hopefully that wasn't slicing him in two.

Trunks abandonned his initial attack and deflected Omega's return in an effective swipe. Her money had been on him staying aggressive with the sword, so she wasn't ready for him to abandon it and charge empty-handed. He was flying into close range, though she couldn't be sure he'd commit. The staff had been knocked far enough aside that it'd be impossible to use the blade in time. She swung in her free hand, a red energy glowing within what remained of her claws, in an effort to strike him, but given the unraveled state, she was slow, and he would likely collide with her beforehand. If she landed a hit at all, it would be after him.

His plan was working out far better than he had intended, but he still wasn't sure it was going to work completely. Trunks didn't go for a strike. Instead he bear hugged Omega. Both of his arms wrapped tightly under her own arms. When they reached behind her his right hand grabbed his left wrist. His left hand opened, summoning his blade. He had no intention to attack her directly with the blade. Once the blade reached his grasp he would just hold it against her and let it do the dirty work for him.

Her reaction was too slow, and Trunks managed to close the gap between them, rendering Omega's swing useless. He grabbed the arm holding the staff, leaving her injured one free. When he summoned the sword, she thought for sure he meant to impale her with it; however he merely caught it. This was enough - the blade reacted almost immediately, drawing in her arm. What went into the blade was severed from her mind. She couldn't account for it nor could she recall it back to her. He had a tight grip under her arms, but the lower half of her body was free. Omega hopped up, wedging both of her knees between them. She couldn't know for sure if Trunks would let them fall or if he'd support her weight, but either way she'd be trying to push him away...or crush whatever organs she had access to.

He was a little surprised when Omega wedged her legs between them. Despite making part of her body disappear she still had a lot in her.
Trunks let Omega get away and at the same time let go of the sword. He hadn't seen the gem, but was sure that it was close to being pure black.
Trunks crossed his arms in front of him smiling ear to ear.
"Did that hurt?"
He pointed to her arm.
"That looks like it hurt. I'm sorry, what were you going to teach me again? I think Dota did just fine. In fact..."
Trunks made a shooing motion with his hands.
"can you just go away and let her come out of there?"

Omega fell back onto the ground, free from the sword. Her entire right side was a distorted mess. She didn't stand.
"Did that hurt?"
Her eyes narrowed. At his next insult, two crimson orbs of energy formed in her hands. Well, one formed in her left hand while the other formed over a phantom appendage. This orb was noticeably unstable. Trunks continued to taunt her, and when he made the shooing motion, she angrily hurled the energy as though he had baited her into it. Instead, the twin shots died out as a large glowing spear erupted from the ground behind Trunks, angled to pierce his back. Normally, this would have been a simple task, remotely controlling the attack through the orbs, but the sword had left her weakened, and she was forced to draw from Dota to make it work. It was never good to kill your host, but sometimes slapping mouthy saiyajins took priority.
