He should have known better. Why would she attack head on for him to block or dodge it?
Trunks crossed his arms in front of him and waited for the attack that never came. Instead the glowing spear erupted from his right shoulder. His scream would have been heard for miles. Despite knowing better he ripped his arm away from the luminous weapon. A stream of blood burst from the wound. The Saiyan fell to his knees. His golden aura intensified around him and the blue energy that usually sparked over his entire body seemed to focus around the injury. For now he Trunks stayed there on his knees just watching and waiting for Omega to make another move.

Either Omega's attack had hit the mark, or Trunks was a fantastic actor. Her drained state had resulted in a minor deviation that caused her to miss some of the more fatal spots nearby, but she'd take it. A satisfying spring of blood broke free when the saiyajin ripped himself from the spear, and at that moment, a scrap of knowledge flashed to mind.
This one has significant regenerative abilities, doesn't he?
She couldn't recall experiencing it herself per se, but in the end, Dota's memories might as well just be called her own. On top of this, the signature golden aura of his race still danced wildly around him. Despite the mental warnings to be on guard and to not squander the moment, Omega couldn't help but to take the time to gloat. Just a moment ago, Trunks had been wearing that irritating, cocky smile, and now it was her turn to rub his face in his missteps.
"Oh? That looked like it hurt."
She grinned as she stood, but as she did the right side of her body lost more cohesion. She'd been able to keep herself looking somewhat whole while on the ground, but dropped the effort now that she stood over the wounded saiyajin. Her right side was deteriorating into a haunting black mist with dwindling human form, but she didn't care. She spared the sword a brief glance. It had lost its luster, and she wondered if it was simply on the verge of breaking. No wonder he'd let it fall.
"Now, here's a lesson for free: removing nuisances from your life."
She pointed at him with only the index finger of her left hand, aiming at his chest. The beam of red energy that shot forward was modest in size, the width of her finger give or take, but she had seen the insides of enough people to calculate a reasonably accurate shot at the heart.

"Now, here's a lesson for free: removing nuisances from your life."
Trunks closed his eyes in sync with the sound of energy erupting from her finger. In that instant the blue energy that raced over his form coalesced in front of the beam. The blue faded to red and then into a dark black. That black energy hardened into a stone found only in the deepest pits of hell. The golden aura turned into dark flames that licked the sky around the prince. Trunks lifted his head and opened his eyes revealing two charcoal orbs.
He stood with blood still running down his body. The flames seared the wound shut. There was no attempt to defend himself nor were there any aggressive actions taken. He addressed Omega calmly, but he didn't speak with his own voice. It was joined with another, something darker.
"We've been waiting for you Omega. How you've avoided us for so long is something to be commended. It's time to find your rightful place with us."
With a quick flick of his wrist a portal ripped through air in the once calm field. The sounds of damned echoed inside.
"Now, please make this easy on us."
Trunks politely offered his hand to lead her inside.

While Omega had expected Trunks to make some sort of effort to survive, she hadn't counted on him simply taking the attack head-on. His energy fluctuated oddly, taking on a surprising element. The display was odd enough, but when he looked up at her with eyes from the Abyss and spoke another's words, it was more effective than any physical blow he'd landed yet.
"We've been waiting for you Omega. How you've avoided us for so long is something to be commended. It's time to find your rightful place with us."
If she'd had any blood, it would have run cold. Dota's heart raced in substitution.
"Now, please make this easy on us."
Despite all reason, Omega suddenly calmed. Her thoughts clouded. She really couldn't disobey. And when Trunks extended a hand, she naturally began to reach out to take it. The only thing that saved her was the fact that she didn't have a hand to give, and this odd distraction was enough to permit her to regain her senses. Instead of approaching, she instead took a step back, eyeing the saiyajin warily. That he was standing before her with this authority didn't make sense.
"My terms weren't as simple as yours. I didn't just give myself over for free. When my time is up, yours begins."
She addressed both voices as one entity, figuring that the information would be processed accordingly by each party. She also contemplated her best course of action. Fleeing was likely impossible. She could only hope that stopping Trunks would put an end to this. The issue was that she was barely able to sustain herself.

"But your time is up."
Trunks threw his hand down toward the ground. In reaction to this five additional portals erupted around them. The ring that formed around them was roughly fifty feet across. Grass within that once grew vibrantly, seconds before, withered to a dark brown. The overwhelming smell of sulfur and burnt flesh poured through the gateways.
The hellish Saiyan turned and ran through the opening behind him reappearing behind her and to her right. With quick push off the ground he jumped into a flying kick at Omega.

"But your time is up."
In a sense, Trunks was right. At the moment, Omega was struggling to maintain her form. How long had it been since she had been able to overpower Dota as her own distinct consciousness? She was out of practice, and the sword had drained her enough as it was. She needed to deal with this, so when Trunks dashed into the portal, she leapt high into the air, above the ring. Feathered wings tore through the dark mist of her back. It was an awkward moment to see Omega with snow-white wings, and as if to remedy this conflict, her entire body dissipated, leaving behind the rightful owner. Though Dota's appearance had returned, her eyes still burned red, leaving no question of who retained control. She had a right arm once more, but this gain was upset by the fact that her left was back to an icy replacement.
Trunks had unnerved her, but the weight lifted by reverting to her host returned her arrogance. She was ready to dive back into the ring, but had to see if Trunks was going to follow her into the sky.
