Personality
Dota is a quiet, reserved girl, at least to those she does not know (her family may beg to differ). This quietness can be interupted by a lust for blood when the taste of a good fight is in the air. This trait first appeared with her battles with Ranma, and are probably a result of years of contamination by Omega. Her blood lust is usually so severe and sudden, that it often seems contradicting. Often, the calm, reserved Dota shines through even the bloodiest of moments to save the very person she was trying to kill.
Unique Cicumstances: Omega
Omega is much like a virus. Her true body was lost millennia ago. Her posession of Dota is an attack upon Dota's very genetic make-up. The essence of Hell rises up when Omega's will is strong enough, creating the mirage of her form overtop of Dota. In the past, it was a mystery where Dota went when Omega revealed herself in full. Most scenarios actually had Dota present, but clouded over by the witch's image. In certain cases, it was possible for Omega to claim a short time of freedom, but this form was usually unstable and taxing on her power, and thus, consciousness.
Eye Color
If one finds themself facing Dota, always be sure to look her in the eye. That is, if you suspect that Omega is posing as Dota, her words may lie, her voice may lie, but her eyes will never lie.
-- #009999 / Emerald / Green
Dota
The eye color the Winged girl was naturally born with. A cat-like pupil is seated within the emerald sea.
-- #660033 / Maroon / Red
Omega
The color that bled over her eyes the moment she sold her soul was this. They are hard to miss as they emit a faint glow.
-- #9999FF / Lavendar / Purple
Dota/Omega
A mixture of the two in one body. While natural enemies in the wild, there are moments when, in the name of survival, working together pays off. The duration of this existance often is short with a purpose for the battle save one exception. With the chance of a child, Dota and Omega stayed in this state for the sake of their unborn daughter. After this episode, the two found the line separating them had weakened, and figured that over time it was inevitable they would meld into one being.
-- #999999 / Stone Gray / Gray
Only once ever has the form arisen -- it was before Akuma, the residing deity in Duo. This melded form of Dota and Omega provided a (very) brief glimpse into a possible future where the two minds become one.
Ghosts that haunt her
Dota's greatest weakness is the void left behind by those dear to her. Inu discovered this weakness by exploiting her attachment to Duo, and Akira did the same with her attachment to Ranma.
Background
In the 1300sAD of Earth’s time, during the Late Middle Ages, lived the woman, Sevalla, who would later be known simply as Omega. There was a tale told of a hunt for the witch who had twisted human lives in her own cruel experiments. The witch had discovered a spell book that was said to have been sent by Hell itself. Some people thought that was what changed her. Others said she had been born corrupt, and had exchanged her very soul in order to receive the Dark secrets. After tormenting the village and killing her lover, the witch found herself chased by a mob from the village one night. She vanished before being captured, though no one could ever really say where she went or how she had escaped. To encourage her to not return, they burned down the witch’s house. Afterwards, no one of that time dared to stray too close to the abandoned ruins. Unfortunate, for there in the rubble lay a single book, worn and ancient-looking, but completely unharmed by fire or weather. Whose hands the books fell into from then on was left unrecorded, of course.
Fast forwarding to 2800AD brings about the time of the Creator Gods. They had decided to bypass centuries of evolution, using science to alter their bodies and minds. Ridela, their city, became the sole survivor of the Great Magic War. Their war shook the foundations of the tomb encasing the God of Destruction itself.
The world found itself reverted back to a dark age much like Omega had known. The Stella family, descendants of the Creator Gods, watched over the new world and magic, trying to keep the class of Parsoners balanced with the class of Sorcerers. During this new era, a race known as the Winged People arose. Their time was short, however. Brought to near extinction, the only two known survivors were Dota and Siruse. Siruse fell into league with Sacher, a former Haz Knight, while Dota served Kanure Stella.
One of the sorcerers had stumbled across an ancient text from the time of the Creator Gods. Hungry for power (as his innate abilities merely stemmed from Charolette Stella), the sorcerer opened the Forbidden Text and unleashed a powerful attack upon the Stella Church in Famile. This was the head church of the Divine Mother, where Kanure, Dota and the Haz Knights resided. The spell had also awakened the sould of the slumbering Omega from her prison as well as destroyed the foolish sorcerer. In the last moments before total destruction, Omega seized the body of the young Winged girl, tattooing her existence into her victim. But, with a such a severe use of energy after such a long sleep, as well as the shock of two creatures from different times suddenly trying to inhabit the same space (body) as one, Omega had no choice but to wrap them in a reincarnation spell. The reincarnation spell lacks boundaries: the two were not confined to this world alone. The essence of Dota and Omega were cast between realms until snared into another plain of existence.
The new world was a wild one compared to the linearly-advancing one of the past. Here, technology and the lack thereof existed simultaneously. That is, one could wander the torch-lit taverns one night, but travel to the coast the next to frequent the clubs on the boardwalk.
Here in this time, a female became pregnant – which is no uncommon occurrence. The difference here was the blending of the mother and father’s inheritance along with the identical code for Dota (post-posession). Needless to say, Dota was born different. The poor mother had indeed been faithful, but it would have never looked that way. The family she’d been born into, was saiyan in heritage. Her brothers, Tenchi and Tequean, boasted this in obvious appearance. But Dota looked to be an elf...with wings. Her father despised her, never truly thinking she was his (truly, she was). And of all things to resemble, elf may have been the worst. In those days, due to Rhydin’s genocide against them, elves were a bit scarce, though not extinct.
Her father eventually cast her out. She might have stayed, as her mother, who knew that Dota was a legitimate child of the family, would protect her, but Dota was more than eager to leave the hateful burn of her father’s eyes.
Her first encounter brought her to Frost’s House, a collection of outcasts such as herself. She hid away there, concealing her wings in one of the only spells she knew (for at the time, her magic was next to none). Her partner in crime was Kai, and they spent much of the time terrorizing by means of arson. Obviously, the ice in Dota had yet to awaken. For that matter, Omega did too.
Life at Frost’s House was a difficult and usually dangerous one. Eventually, Dota met Ranma, who rescued her from Frost’s and Kai (who was usually trying to kill Dota) and introduced her to his family: Akira, Saki, Ami, Rei, and Goku, as well as others. But she did not leave Frost’s fast enough. An attack by Trunks left Dota on the verge of death. At the time, it was believed a white mage had healed her. In fact, Omega had repelled the spell, taking back control and reclaiming Dota’s body. Dota did not live with Ranma and his family. Her new residence was a cabin that belonged to Kudo. Her housemates were (but not limited to) Kudo, Aimee, Jupiter-chan, D and Jake.
As time trudged on, so did Dota – she learned melee skills from Ranma, weapon skills from Jake and even dabbled into her innate abilities at magic, which refined itself more and more towards ice-influence.
Dota also met up with Cloud, a swordsman. When all was said and done, Dota was wed to him and they eventually produced their daughter, Ayame. But, before the birth of her daughter, Dota had adopted the child-demon, Duo. He had once been a human boy, but was attacked by demons. After watching the beheading of his mother and sister, Duo was cursed to live as a demon. And so he was one when he found his way to Kudo’s Cabin. It was one of the many destructions of the structure. On Duo’s person was an amulet that was later discovered to contain conflicting deities: Akuma, the evil force and Kamichu, the divine force.
As time progressed, Dota leapt into the "Mirina" period. By this time, Dota was beginning to outlive her mortal friends. She very much was now considering her extended life a curse. She sat back, watching time pass her - denied the right of joining her loved ones in death. Along her travels, Dota met a descendant of the man who had struck her down at Frost’s. Trunks bore the same name as well as appearance of his grandfather. The relationship between Dota and Trunks was a shakey one, leaning from close companionship to extreme hatred. But Dota was alive once more. Along the way, Dota and Trunks, along with Chaotienzu, Taren and Gohan sought out the sacred dragon balls. As part of the deal, Dota received an increase in her abilities that had not been seen since Ranma had dealt her a piece of his spirit. During this time, Dota even had the opportunity to visit the world Mirina, a place of significance to Trunks.
Dota also had her hands full with Inu during this era. Before she had met up with the future Trunks, a hanyou had stumbled across her path. At the time, he’d been wary of her (as Myoga warned him of her status), but when they crossed paths a second time, he had become full youkai, slain by the evil he’d been pursuing fifty years prior. He had risen among the ranks of Hell to command even the greatest of demons. His fondest hobby was chasing Dota around, for within her slept Omega. Her soul belonged to Hell, but moreso, Omega intrigued him. His attacks were often after Ayame as well. This led Dota to find Cloud residing in the Celestial City to the north. He had died long ago, but had descended back to Earth after long years training in both the Holy and Dark arts, which left him with a single demon wing upon his back. Dota even found Ranma and Akira wandering the lands at this time. All were long-awaited reunions.
Trunks, Chaotienzu and Gohan often refered to Dota as “sensei”, a bond that she held dear despite any moments of random bloodshed. But Inu managed to claim Trunks’ soul with promises of power. The loss dealt a great blow to Dota, which was as Inu had intended. Over time, Inu recruited a band of generals to further hunt and torment Dota (and Trunks after he rebelled). During one of their clashes, Dota went up against Mercuria, who managed to sever Dota's left forearm. Dota was forced to replace it with a fully functional ice appendage.
