Unaliari waited for the elf girl to get all of her questions out, then began answering them.
“Elf, huh? You struck me as Hylian...but I have to remember I've moved on to bigger places. I'm Ecliptian, though I doubt most normal folk could place the name. And I was in the war against the Lunarians, who also seem to have wound up forgotten. We probably wound up killing each other off. No one to blame but ourselves then, I guess.”
She then went back to an earlier question.
”I just wound up on the mainland here. The portals to Mirina aren't terribly far away from where I stay these days.”
Unaliari stopped, considering the question on her mind. The alchemist figured she could guess Honorea's response, but went ahead anyways.
“So if we somehow learned enough about this light to go home...would you go?”

“Ecliptian? I don’t think I am familiar with that race, but I’m not surprised.”
“So if we somehow learned enough about this light to go home...would you go?”
Honorea paused. She looked back over the water, thinking of her family, but also of the world she lived in now.
“That is hard. I think if we learned enough about what happened to us to control it so we could return home, I would. However, I would not go home to stay. I would visit my family and share with them all the wonderful things about this world, and also warn them of the evils here. I would encourage them to do as much as possible to keep our traditions alive, and if possible, our race. Then, I would want to return home. I think my experiences here would make me feel like an outcast there.”
She looked back at Unaliari.
“What about you? Would you return home?”

As Mio swung her axe around Rio turned his head to the side so it wouldn't hit him. As Mio 'walked' (aka kept herself from doing a face plant) over to her bunk Rio stood close so that she wouldn't fall.
"Now don' look, I have to change!"
Before Rio could turn around Mio had already ripped off her top and placed the other shirt on. Rather quickly Rio took the book that was hanging by his side and held it in front of him.
"I'm not gonna wake up t'find you gone off on the island without me, am I? Haven't had anyone to travel with in a while. It'd be fun."
"Of course not. I would love the company."
Rio bowed and went over to his own cot. He flipped open his book as he laid down and slid his hands between the pages. With the book on his chest he began to drift off to sleep.

Unaliari shook her head.
"I really don't know. I've made important friends here. My abilities have grown in ways I probably would have missed out on...Though I miss my family terribly, going back to a land suffering under endless war and prejudice doesn't feel inviting. In just a few years, this place is beginning to feel like home."
She stopped for a moment to reflect on her own decision, then realized that the celebration had begun to quiet down below deck, enough that people could start getting some sleep.
"Maybe we should call it a night then."
She turned to head back down below deck, waiting long enough to see if the elf would be going as well, or if she preferred a bit more time alone with the sea.

Honorea listened to Unaliari speak about her past.
"Maybe we should call it a night then."
As Unaliari turned back towards the cabin, Honorea took a step forward and glanced behind her towards the sea. Realizing that this step was taking her forward towards the future, Honorea had come to realize and accept that her past was really her past.
"Yes, I suppose it is time to go back in. We must rest for our trip tomorrow since we will be coming ashore."

The night progressed peacefully. The sailors left the foreigners alone, and the weather left the ship alone. By the time the ship landed in Athemuesa the next day, the sun was already high in the sky. The lack of cloud cover might have been a bit irritating to those who had had too much to drink the night prior, but for everyone else, it was welcomed weather.
The ship docked at the main harbor, and the crew immediately went to work unloading its cargo. Those who had paid to board the ship were free from these chores, and would have the remainder of the day to do as they pleased in the city. The ship would be on its way the next morning to start its mainland rounds anew.
The main harbor was in the eastern side of the city. The western side was reserved for residential buildings. The business district joined the two sides in the middle. The few shops set up near the harbor were mainly for the sailors, offering food and sailing supplies. Beyond these were the regular shops. A tavern sat on the residential-edge of the buildings as well as a neglected-looking but possibly still open inn. There was also a garden in the center of the district, which boasted a decorative marble fountain and arranged flowers. The exit was to the north where a gate closed the gap between the city walls. The streets were littered with people who were out busy working or shopping themselves.
Rio, Mio, Honorea and Unaliari had the city at their disposal.

Mio was up and active with the rising sun, even before the ship pulled into dock. Either by some pure physiological luck, or some toxicoligic benefit passed down from her mother's side of the family, Mio had the ability to drink herself stupid without any morning-after consequences (health-related, at least--there was no accounting for regrettable actions). This was a gift that she was always more than happy to count on when the opportunity presented itself.
Being in a much more responsible state of mind, Mio found a quiet corner of the ship's deck to change--dressing herself in a simple, vest-like sleeveless shirt and a basic pair of denim-like shorts. When she let her hair down, it was much fuller and wavier as it had been in her childhood, and she still could not coax her bangs away from slightly obscuring one of her eyes.
When the ship did reach port, Mio busied herself among the sailors, as she had not been a paying passenger, but rather had offered to work for passage. She could easily move cargo down the gangplank that would have left two burly sailors staggering, though, so her part of the job was done within an hour. The shortish, slender girl walked off the ship that day leaving more than one sailor feeling summarily emasculated.
She stepped off the gangplank with axe in hand and traveler's sack on back, looking around the pier. Hopefully Rio and the others were waiting for her like he had promised.

Unaliari gathered her things and emerged out into the daylight. She was more than eager to get off of the ship and be back on land. She waited around the gangplank area to see what Rio or Honorea's plans were for the day -- it might be nice to have some company, though she wanted to head out into the wilderness at some point. While she waited, she noticed Mio mixed in with the sailors. It seemed as though she had made it through the night...a good thing.

When Honorea woke, she looked around to get an idea of the time, and noticed every other bunk empty. "Shoot! I must have slept late," she thought. She hurriedly gathered her things and went to the deck. The non-paying crew was in the middle of unloading the cargo, and she noticed Mio walking off the gangplank.
“Hey Mio! Wait up!”
She picked up her pace, hoping that the others were still around. She was tired of being alone.

Rio rubbed his aching head. He hadn’t drunk in awhile or maybe it was the fact that he had fallen off his cot while he was sleeping and was practically laying underneath it. With his other hand he felt around for his book. He really needed to reconsider keeping the book on his chest when he slept. It never did him much good considering it always fell beside him and he slept like a log. As he lifted himself off the ground he flipped a couple of pages in his book to two pages full of clothing and armor. Within seconds his clothes disappeared and reappeared only now they were a different color, a pale green.
Rio tied his book safely around his waist and made sure he had his other belongings before he headed outside. The sun definitely wasn’t helping his head, but he took in a deep breath of sea air and stretched. When he spotted Mio, and Honorea running towards her, he felt relieved. He didn’t forget the promise he had made to Mio, but he did sleep in and fall behind the cot so they might have thought that he had already left. Rio walked up to the group.
“So, where we headed?”
