The demon girl was on top of the wounded Trunks even before he had hit the ground. Her sai was drawn and ready to plunge down into the flesh of his neck while he held onto his side.
---------------------------- By now, Ayame couldn't tell if Trunks and Blu were still by her side or not. She was vaguely aware of the holy stopping, yet the pain it had sparked didn't seem to be subsiding. For the moment, she still wouldn't be moving.

"If you want to help then maybe you should help my younger self."
For the second time in just a few minutes, Trunks told Blu to do something and then went to do it himself (though to be fair, it had been a second Trunks last time). Blu shrugged.
"Alright then--guess you've got that under control."
In the meantime, Blu crouched next to Ayame. Whether because of Trunks, or for some other reason, she seemed to be running out of time. Reaching into the robe on the ground (that he had still not had time to put back on), he pulled out a single vial--a sample of Trunks' blood from during the treasure hunt. Whatever was affecting Ayame was because of the demon girl--some kind of magical parasitism, was Blu's theory--so blood from the saiyajin's Hellbound days would be best for discerning Hellbourne magic.
With a quiet apology, Blu tore open a small part of the front of Ayame's shirt. Not enough to expose anything, but she had been gripping her chest earlier, and he wanted to be as close as possible to whatever was harming her. He broke open the vial of blood, and on the bare skin of her upper-chest, spread two symbols--"enchantment" and "reveal." With a silent prayer that this would work, he activated them.

Trunks let out one final shout to Blu when he noticed that he wasn’t following him.
“I… we could still use your help over here.”
Trunks ran to the other Trunks right as the blade was coming down on top of him. He slid to a stop about ten feet from the two and pointed his finger at the demon. Without hesitation he shot out five rings of energy. The rings dodged the younger Saiyan and headed straight for the girl. Five rings: one for each of her wrists and ankles and one for her tail. No matter if one of them or all five of them reached their intended target they would do the same thing. Each ring would constrict around its intended target and pull outward from her body to try and immobilize her.
The younger Trunks realized he made a mistake and ducked to get out of the way of the blade coming at him. He only added a couple more inches of space before the blade would get him so if the older Saiyans plan didn’t work the younger Saiyan would have a new hole in upper body.

Ayame hadn't even realized her shirt had been torn open until she felt the mage touch bare skin (that, as far as she could recall, should have been covered). Had she been feeling better she probably would have slapped him, but then again, if she'd be feeling better he wouldn't have been forced to take such actions. Once his kanji had been activated, a burning coil began to glow from within Ayame's chest. In its center was an orb of blue, not unlike the color of Ayame's eyes. Light radiated out of the orb and coursed throughout Ayame's body, though it grew fainter as it left the reach of the kanji. If one were to admire the coiling flames within like a piece of art, they might have been able to point out a head end and a tail end – the head end was wrapped around the central mass of light. This was a very abstract figure, however. The light, which looked like it naturally illuminated the inner workings of Ayame's body, seemed to be drawn towards the center of the coil, but forcefully.
Sensing more magic working against it, the burning creature (the certainty of it being a conscious life form was becoming more and more apparent) began to hastily draw in more light. At this, Ayame showed signs of the pain intensifying. She looked quite pale at this point, even for the daughter of an ice goddess, and not much light remained free to roam in her body.
------------------------- Trunks' call to Blu alerted the demon that he was on his way. Unfortunately, she was already mid-swing. She turned her body such that the rings aimed for her left side barely missed. The hand bearing the sai was snagged before any more damage could be dealt. Her right leg (the point she'd been pivoting off of when she'd begun to turn), had not moved and was also caught by a ring. Not realizing he'd also go after her tail resulted in that being successfully snagged as well. So for the moment, she had an arm and a leg free, but if his discs came back around, she wouldn't be able to do much to dodge them. While waiting for that to happen, the irritated demon girl tore her free hand through the air, sending a horizontal arc of energy that ignited into Hell-fire that spanned from the fallen Trunks to the older Trunks.

“I… we could still use your help over here.”
Blu didn't even look up in the saiyajin's direction--his attention was quite raptly set on the--thing--inside Ayame.
"Not now Trunks!"
Blu sighed, and resolved himself to what he had to do (or, at least, the only thing he could think of on the spot). He actually had a safer, more rational plan, but it would take time. And since the creature sucking on Ayame's soul like it was a phosphorescent lollipop had apparently noticed him noticing it, time was something that he was out of.
Remaining knelt, Blu removed his shirt. Reaching into his robe once more, he procured two vials--his last vial of the Hellbound Trunks' blood, and his last vial of phoenix blood. He broke each and poured them together into his cupped right hand. The contrast in deietic alignment would make a potent and purposeful mixture. Up his right arm went four kanji--'energy, self, contact,' and 'dissipate.' On Ayame's chest, just underneath the two it already bore, went the ever-familiar 'fade' and 'contact'. These kanji were not done in his normal cursive scrawl, but in their formal print, and each group was associated with its neighbors through a blood trail.
Physically prepared for what he was about to do, Blu took a deep breath, mentally steeling himself. Then, he silently activated every kanji except the 'dissipate,' and plunged his arm into Ayame's chest. The instant his fingertips touched the kanji on his chest, they broke through into the immaterial realm, followed by his hand, so he never physically touched Ayame's body. Very carefully avoiding the shining cerulean orb, Blu grasped the coil in his faded hand (thankfully, the kanji that revealed the coil inside Ayame had a similar effect on his now-invisible hand).
Specifically (thanks to the kanji on his arm), Blu grasped only the energy aspect of the coiled being wrapped around Ayame's essence. With that firmly in hand, he yanked backwards. His intention was to separate the coil's energy--its very lifeforce--from any other aspect of itself that might exist. Once it was outside of Ayame's body, the final kanji would come into effect, dissipating the coil's energy (and, unfortunately, the energy residing in Blu's hand) into the ambient energy of the Earth's atmosphere.
This, of course, would mean the death of Blu's right hand--devoid of their energy, all of his cells would die instantly. This meant either an expensive trip to both a bioarchitect and then a patchmage, or a lot of begging and pleading with Elieana later. Hopefully, though, at the cost of his hand, the coiled thing inside of Ayame would die as suddenly as his limb, releasing Ayame from its grasp.

The younger Trunks had time now that the older Trunks used the energy rings to stop the girl. He rolled out of the way but it wasn’t long before she sent a wave of hell fire. His resistance to hellfire wasn’t gone just yet so when it flew overhead he lifted his hands. For the first time in a very long while he actually felt the heat and the evil that coursed through the flames.
The older Trunks had more time to react to the wave of hellfire than his younger counterpart. As the wave rocketed towards him he jumped over top. His wings appeared and he hovered over it. Unless something went wrong the Saiyan prince was going to get face to face with his new nemesis.
Meanwhile the rings that missed the girl circled around and headed for their intended targets.

Ayame watched as Blu prepared to push his hand through her chest. She had no idea what the kanji would do, and so braced herself, but oddly enough she never actually felt his hand pierce her ribcage. It was a strange sensation to say the least, having a parasite removal procedure occurring inside one's body (and in a different realm at that). The creature obviously did not want to let go, so as Blu began to yank it out, there was an initial pull on the orb as well. He finally won, however, and dissipated the energy of the creature (and his hand). Inevitably, some of the blue energy that Blu's hand had to swim through to reach the burning creature had gone along for the ride, but it was far less than if the blue sphere had been taken. No longer in need of battling to keep her own life, Ayame fell unconscious. Her breathing suggested that while she was exhausted from her struggle, she was no longer in the painful grasp of the invading demon.
------------------------- The demon girl was aware of Blu's actions the moment he had grabbed the coil. It was too late for her to act, however, and he destroyed the creature on the spot. The look of absolute horror on her face was confirmation that his plan had been a success. But then, that horror was replaced by an intense rage. The whites of the demon girls were suddenly painted with blood (much like her Lord Inu's youkai eyes), and narrowed as they fell upon Blu. Beneath her, a small series of cracks that reached no farther than two or so feet silently spread. They seemed of no consequence, until she erupted in a fury of Hell fire that formed an egg-shaped barrier around her. Simultaneously, chasms tore open around her. They did not snake out like the minor cracks had, but instead the land came apart all at once as though pried apart by a huge set of hands. There was a chasm that buckled the land beneath Blu and Ayame, one that split the earth under the younger Trunks and one that went off to an empty portion of the field. The chasms averaged a span of seven feet after all of the earth in the middle had crumbled away. The bottoms of the chasms seemed endless, though the inferno of Hell could be seen glowing far below. The eager growls of those who waited below mixed in with the rumbling of the quaking earth. Scattered throughout the lengths of the gouges in the ground, columns of fire spiraled up into the sky like geysers. Debris from the disturbed land rained back down onto the battlefield as well. The rings that had been restraining her had shattered into dust that was consumed by the initial explosion of flames. The rings that were returning to capture her never made it to their destination before disappearing.
Around the horned girl, the swirling flames took shape – they were long arms of fire that, when they came together, formed the shell around her. At times, they twisted separately about the air. Some struck the ground in various places while others tore across the sky. The grass that was fortunate enough to escape the touch of the arms was still set burned to ashes instantly when a hellish lava dripped off of them. Luckily, in her rage she hadn't singled out any one specific fighter, though it was more than likely that the chaos would catch them in some way. Randomly, the arms would return around her, picking up speed in their concentrated form before lashing out once again.
Though Blu had initially waved her off as a minor demoness, she was now demonstrating exactly why Inu had permitted her to sit in his beloved Trunks' seat. Now, as she was beginning to focus, she prepared to seek out the one who had destroyed her precious pet.

Blu met the demon girl's red glare with a defiant smile. He stopped smiling when the girl literally exploded with fury. The earth underneath Ayame and him began to crack, and, having dealt with his share of Hellsent at this point, he knew what was coming next.
Blu quickly lifted the unconscious Ayame with his left arm, resting her over his shoulder, and readying himself to leap away. That was when he noticed his discarded robe laying by his feet. The one carrying all of his ofuda and vials of precious (and expensive!) blood.
"Oh hell no. Not again."
Kicking a foot under the robe, he lifted it into the air and then spun it, wrapping it around his shin. He finished this just as the crack underneath him split violently open, dropping the section of ground that he stood on down toward the abyss. He jumped just as it broke loose, pushing off with all his force in an attempt to clear the newly-formed chasm wall with the additional weight of Ayame on his shoulder. He soared toward the wall, nailed his shins off of the edge, and smacked face-first into the hard (but stable) ground beyond it, dropping his payload unceremoniously.
He stood, painfully, but at least he and Ayame (and his damned vials!) were safe. Errm... sort of, he thought, as a tendril of Hellfire flailed just overhead. His short-lived ring weapon hadn't been so lucky, but with his hand as it was, it wouldn't have done him much good regardless.
Quickly unwrapping his robe from his leg, Blu slipped his arms hastily through it. Then, scooping up Ayame once more, he began to sprint away from the raging demoness. While he had no intention of abandoning Trunks, he needed to find somewhere more secure to leave Ayame while he did his best to stop Trunks' replacement.

The younger Trunks was much closer to the action than he wanted to be at this point. When the ground started splitting he did the only thing he could think of... ran like hell. He just barely got to his feet when there was suddenly nothing to hold him up anymore. The saiyan used every last bit of energy he had left to fly up from the hole. As the ground quaked around him columns of fire erupted up into the air. The saiyan kept a look out for them as best he could until one seemed to come out of no where. Just in the nick of time he shot past it just as it flew high into the air. Trunks looked back at his melting boot.
"That was close."
That's when he turned around and saw the geyser of fire in front of him. At this point there wasn't a lot he could do. His hands covered his face as he shot through the flames. The heat and fire were too much for him. The younger saiyan fell through the air like an out of control missile. He hit the ground and crumpled into a ball as he rolled across the ground. For now he was safe, but out of commission.
The other saiyan was faring much better than his younger self. If anything this was much like his former antics and brought back some memories. Trunks had to finish this fight. He didn't want this girl to come and take anything he loved away from him again. Trunks backed away from the flailing arms. With his own hands he began drawing symbols in the air. A white glow formed around him when he finished.

The demoness wasn't entirely aware of the younger Trunks being knocked from the battle. She was aware that he wasn't making a move against her presently, but had she seen him tumble across the ground, she might have finished the job. She did catch sight of the older Trunks above her, painting out figures in the air before him. A few select lengths of fire shot through the air, striking at the white light that encircled him. The flames acted similarly to those that had been around her sais: they attempted to drill through the light before drawing back and striking again. Whether or not she actually did damage to him or merely kept him in check, she didn't care. Through the curtain of fire, her sights had set on the fleeing kanji mage. A growl came from the horned girl, and two tendrils of fire shot into the ground. Their path was unseen at first, though about half-way through their trip, they surfaced through the earth like marine animals leaping through waves. Then, they dove back down into the ground, spraying more rock as they picked up speed. Undoubtedly, they were targeting Blu.
------------------------- For the second time in too small of a span, Ayame was jolted back to reality by smacking off of the solid earth. She was disoriented from the earlier stress on her body, and the sudden turn of events did not help her recover in any way. Suddenly, Blu had scooped her up once more and was running away from the roaring sound that had flooded Ayame's ears.
“Blu...what happened?”
He may not have heard her voice over all of the ruckus, but she was moving uncomfortably in his arms and that may have been noticeable.
