Ayame admired Trunks' fairness -- he didn't use his saiyajin blood to bully around the mage. It was probably a more effective strike against his Hell-ties than any prize a mirror could offer.
"But if I win and you leave with Ayame don't think that for one minute I won't kill you for touching her.... hell or not."
She chuckled a bit at that before Blu handed her a coin.
"Seems only fair that you flip it. Trunks probably wouldn't trust me anyways, and I probably wouldn't blame him. I'll take tails."
She looked the coin over...it seemed fair enough.
"Alright. Blu tails, Trunks heads."
She nodded and flipped the coin, letting it fall at her feet. She looked down at it.
".............................." Suspense. "...Heads it is."
With that, she retrieved Blu's coin and handed it back to him.
"Lucky me. Looks like I get to take a stroll with the ladies' man."
She dealt the sarcastic jab with the verbal protection of Trunks around her.

Trunks looked at Blu. He felt kinda sad that he had won but then again he didn't. Trunks didn't even know what this "lady" was going to be giving him. Who knows if it was actually what he wanted.
"Sorry Blu but that was the fairest thing. I'll meet up with you guys outside."
Trunks turned his attention back to the figure.

Blu smiled--honestly, he was happy for Trunks. Blu was the type of person that was happy just traveling and enjoying the world. He would have really liked to find out what he would have received, but he would live. "Congratulations, Trunks. You'll have to show off your new present later--I'm looking forward to seeing it."
And so he turned to Ayame. "Shall we? I promise I'll behave myself from now on. I'm not so vain as to not realize that you're out of my league--for now." With these words, he made his way back out into the light of day.

Ayame gave one last look back to Trunks and offered a small smile.
"You better meet us outside."
With that, she followed Blu towards the exit.

The lady disappeared and Trunks took a deep breath as he stepped into the beam of light coming from the mirror.

The light enveloped Trunks and the cave was left behind. He was surrounded in nothing but the soft light from the mirror...space seemed distorted -- there was no end to the light...even the floor seemed to be removed. In front of him, an object began to take form. It was a large sword, most likely intended to be two-handed. The decorations on the hilt looked like metal feathers and a jewel rested at the end of the hilt. There was a cross molded into the blade. The unearthly metal of the blade was a light gray (in low light), but shimmered something like a pearl-white (in better light). The hilt was a gold color that also shimmered to lighter, whiter hues. The most interesting feature was the orb seated in the hilt. It was white and almost emitted its own light at the moment. The mirror revealed to Trunks the knowledge he needed to wield the blade. This sword was not the true solution to his problem, but would instead lift the burden from his shoulders when used. The sword, Kyuuseisha (savior), would absorb the heavy Hell force from Trunks' body to convert the power to have a Holy element. As the sword is filled with the power, it loses its shimmer and the gem turns from white to gray to red and ultimately to black. If black is reached, the sword will be consumed by the Hell energy and will try to take over its master with a lust for blood. Allowing the sword to rest will dispel the built up negative energy in it. When wielded, Trunks would have no manipulation over his Hell powers. They would be converted into Heavenly equivalents. As it draws energy from Trunks, the use of the sword may seem taxing at first. The light began to fade, leaving Trunks with sword in-hand standing behind the temple (on the exact opposite side of where they entered).

Trunks looked over his new toy. He could definitely feel the burden of hell was lifted while he held it. Trunks finally started to look around and realized that he was on the opposite side of the temple. With a huge jump Trunks lept over the temple and landed where they originally enetered near where Blu and Ayame were standing. With his sword in hand he stabbed it into the ground allowing the small change in the orb color to return to normal. The white light soon glowed brightly.
"Not exactly what I was hoping for but it will definitely help. I guess there is no way to completly remove hell from me."
Trunks just smiled. He waved his hand over it. The image of the sword twisted and then seemed to disappear into an invisible black hole.

Blu eyed Trunks' new sword before it vanished. "Well, that is an interesting looking toy. Be careful not to poke your eye out on it."
It seemed their time together was at an end for now, and despite the persistent pain in his arm and hand (which seemed only to be getting worse), Blu had enjoyed himself. He bowed to Ayame--a farewell kiss to the hand probably wouldn't go over as well as the greeting.
"It has been a pleasure working with you, despite a heated moment or two. Exchanging choice words early just clears the path for brighter times later. And I hope my brash attitude hasn't put you off too much--really, your mother was a joy to battle, and I don't know your father at all, so I have no authority on my words. I just do enjoy poking fun. So, I do hope we'll meet again, and I hope as well that we find ourselves on very good terms someday soon. Until then, fare thee well."
He turned to Trunks. "Now, Trunks, I was wondering if you might consider flying me to the nearest patchmage. It's quite a ways off, but I can give you directions, and I'd be happy to pay for mileage."

Not really sure what to expect Trunks to return with, Ayame looked the sword over and gave an impressed nod. She wasn't sure how this sword would help sever his ties to Hell, but it looked holy enough.
And so it seemed they would be going their separate ways. Blu's farewell spiel managed to smooth their relation for the moment. The three of them made a decent team, she decided. They were alive after all.
"I'll leave you two to have your alone time."
She winked to the saiyajin and mage, then turned to walk back towards the forest.

Trunks waved to Ayame.
"Hey don't be a stranger"
With that he put his hand on the shoulder of the mage.
"I'm not carrying you."
He put his fingers up to his forehead. Within seconds the two of them disappeared.
