"Sounds about right to me."
Blu stepped toward the floating, transparent figure, until he stood about three feet away. He said nothing to her, waiting to see if she would speak first.

Since no one else said anything Trunks decided to act as the leader. He walked forward and bowed. The being didn't look evil in any way what so ever so Trunks didn't have any sort of defense up at all.
"Hello, my name is Trunks. This is Ayame and Blu." He pointed to them respectively.

The girl politely waited for Trunks to finish his introduction. She spoke, but did not introduce herself.
"Welcome. You stand before a great relic of an ancient power. The light cast down by this mirror has the ability to reflect your soul's great desire. However, this gift may only be granted to a single soul per cycle. Three of you have come today, but only one may bathe in the light. Choose wisely the person who will stand before the mirror, for the dividing barrier will be renewed and only the one with the gift will be permitted to exit from this side of the temple. Not all of the skeletons you bore witness to today resulted from a giant beast's attack. Choose one who's heart is not hasty with greed, lest those unchosen find themselves deceived when turning their backs for the exit..."
With that, she fell silent. Her blue eyes watched them (unblinking) as if waiting for a response.

She looked behind her, back where they had entered. The wall was still crumbled for the moment...then her eyes shot back over to Blu. She fully trusted Trunks not to abandon her, but she was uncertain how Blu would react to the situation.
"Well that's a nice turn of events..."

Blu started at this turn of events.
"Well... this is an issue. So, we either need just one person to volunteer to go into the light, or two people to volunteer to leave."
He gave a wry glance at both his companions. "Somehow, I don't think we're going to have an easy time choosing either."

"Can nothing go right for us?"
Trunks looked at his friends.
"Alright, who's going in and who is leaving."

"Well...it sounds nice and all..."
She scratched her head, seeing nothing good coming from this. She knew Trunks' desire and respected it -- he had something far more important than she could wish for (or maybe she just figured her wish shouldn't or couldn't be granted just yet). As for Blu...she had no idea what he could hope for other than women.
"I was just wandering about looking for experience, not treasure. I leave it up to you and Blu."
Despite the harsh words they exchanged, she wouldn't deny the mage at this point since he'd taken more than a fair share of beating to get them through the dungeon as well as yanked her out of harm's way.

Blu shrugged at the winged girl's words. "If that's your choice, then. You've got as much right to the treasure as either of us."
Blu turned to Trunks. "Well, Trunks, that leaves you and me. Let's be honest--if you want it bad enough to fight for it, then I don't stand a chance right now. Not in my condition. So, if that's how far you're willing to go, just tell me, and I'll leave with Ayame."
Blu smiled at the saiyajin then, like one friend to another at the end of a long contest of half-rivalry. "However, I'm not going to step down unless I have to. We could always just flip a coin on it. How about it? Would you leave a gift that could possibly unbind you from Hell itself to the whim of the Goddess of Luck? Sounds like fun to me."

Trunks smiled. Although he wanted to be free of hell more than anything else in this entire world what would be the point if he were unfair about it. Blu was right. There was no way that a fair fight would happen at this point (not that he thought a fair fight would happen even if Blu were 100%).
"I think that's the only fair way. But if I win and you leave with Ayame don't think that for one minute I won't kill you for touching her.... hell or not."
Trunks's smile got even bigger.

Blu reached into his robe, and pulled out a gold coin. He couldn't even remember where he got this one from... On one side was embossed the head of some old ruler, the other side held the symbol of that monarchy. Blu handed the coin to Ayame.
"Seems only fair that you flip it. Trunks probably wouldn't trust me anyways, and I probably wouldn't blame him. I'll take tails."
