The initial sword swipe would have been a finishing blow, but the added stone spear stopped the monster's movements instantly. Its legs, tail and head dropped to the floor leaving the beast belly-up on the floor. A silver liquid began to wash out from the wounds...most likely it was blood. Though it looked like liquid mirror, the stalagmites it touched didn't seem affected.

The creature finally defeated, Blu stood slowly to his feet. His head was a little woozy, and he wouldn't be much for fighting anymore, but hopefully they were done with that for now anyways. Walking back over to Ayame, Blu picked up his gruesome little bag of hand parts. Apparently she hadn't been able to freeze them, but he decided against saying anything about that. "Thanks."
Sticking the bag into one of the many recesses in his robe, Blu walked over to where Trunks stood, by the slain turtle-thing. He was careful not to gouge his eyes out on the super saiyajin's newly styled hair. "And I thought that Cloud character was bad," he mumbled quietly to himself.
Out loud, he said, "Not bad, Trunks. Glad to see one of us still has some fight left in them. That had sure as hell better be it, though."
Reaching into his robe with his left hand, he pulled out two empty vials (dropping his total to four), and filled them with the viscous, reflective blood. If nothing else, he got a good haul of humors out of this temple.

"Thanks."
"No problem."
Ayame headed with Blu to rejoin Trunks, who was standing with his trophy kill.
"And I thought that Cloud character was bad. "Not bad, Trunks. Glad to see one of us still has some fight left in them. That had sure as hell better be it, though."
She had been lost in thought about her attempts at ice magic, but Blu's comment interuptted them.
"Do you have a problem with my father?"
She assumed that the Cloud in question was the one associated with Dota...Blu seemed to know everyone close to her already, but she'd never heard of him.
"Who are you anyways? Trunks, is he really a friend of yours or what?"

"Eh? Father?"
That one caught Blu off guard. He stood up, and put his vials back in his robe. "Cloud's your father?"
Blu thought back to some of the racier comments he had made to Dota during their battle together. It's a good thing he didn't hear some of the things I said... I hope...
"Actually, from what little I saw of him, he struck me as rather arrogant, brooding, and kind of boring, really. But I didn't really talk to the guy, I just watched Trunks beat on him for a bit. Even you've got to agree, though--his hair's absolutely ridiculous."
"On a similar note, I did want to get around to apologizing for some of the comments about your mother. I've only fought her once, and I actually rather liked her. But I can see it's a spot of at least a little contention, so I hope you won't hold it too much against me."
Blu winked at her. "Besides, who cares if you're not an ice goddess. You've passed her well up in the looks department."

Trunks hair and body reverted back to the way they were.
"We were in a pretty big battle together. You learn that even if you're the greatest of enemies you can come together to help each other out. Not that Blu and I fought. We are friends.... despite our differences."

Her jaw dropped down a notch wider with each barbed word about her father. The hair comment made her eye twitch. Was it not painfully obvious that she shared the same trait for hair? There wasn't much she could do with it aside from the ponytail....the spikes had a will of their own and disagreed with anything but her present style.
"On a similar note, I did want to get around to apologizing for some of the comments about your mother. I've only fought her once, and I actually rather liked her. You've passed her well up in the looks department."
"Heh...don't worry about going for little ol' me just because Dota shot down your advances once already. I don't think Dad and Mom are much of anything anymore these days. You still have a chance to work your 'irresitable charms' on Dota. Hell, I'm surprised you haven't already claimed her as a trophy in your hall of fame. I'm already half way there myself..."
Of course it was as sarcastic of a jab as you could get that she threw back at him for what he had said -- and she would never let him lay a finger on her mother. He'd shrugged her off as a failure of an ice goddess with his "who cares" (as if she was trying in the first place...) and was now using her looks as some sort of consolation (Can't be a fighter? Try being a whore...) after thoroughly bashing her father.
"We are friends.... despite our differences."
"Feh..."
She figured Trunks could say that because Blu hadn't made advances on him or picked on his father.

Blu laughed, not sarcastically or haughtily, just an honest, full laugh. He had been rejected by more women than years he had lived--one more wasn't going to bother him overly much.
"Dota shot me down all right. I almost had the giant spears of ice protruding from my back to prove it. In the end though, she's not really my type. A bit stiff, you know? I suppose that was how she could get along with cardboard Cloud so well."
Blu was digging himself a hole at this point, but he didn't much care.
"I was kind of hoping her daughter would be a bit more easygoing--you know, the rebellious youngster. But I guess heredity wins again. The trophy case was too big for my travel-pack, by the way. Sorry to disappoint."
Blu turned back to Trunks, slapping him on a shoulder that looked likely to pop and spew super-saiyajin muscle tissue everywhere. He wasn't sure whether the saiyajin was amused, or deciding how best to kill him--probably both. "Anyways, Trunks... what differences? You and I are practically peas in a pod. Now let's find this treasure, shall we?" He glanced back at Ayame. "The temperature couldn't get any colder in this room if you had three ice goddesses."

Just as Ayame had done earlier Trunks's jaw dropped. The guy claims to be one the ladies fall all over for but he just struck out worse than a blind man playing baseball.
Trunks just smiled. He didn't care what he said. Ayame could handle herself and at least he wouldn't be touching her any time soon.
"Treasure.... right. Although we haven't the foggiest idea where such treasure might be."

As if on cue, the far wall of the cave room began to crack, much like the dividing wall earlier. Chunks of rock fell away from the center of the wall, revealing a carving that had been protected by the outer layer. Beneath it was (much to the party's delight) another mirror. Two circles were carved in the stone, overlapping. The mirror sat in where the Vesica Pisces was formed in the overlap. This petal of the Flower of Life cast a light upon the floor as if it were a divine window rather than a reflective surface locked away in a cave. An image flickered into existence within the rays of light cast by the mirror. It was a female figure, though only roughly two feet tall and her transparent nature would conclude that she didn't leave the temple much (ever). She hovered in the air at a little over eye-level. Her face expressed a look of welcome to the adventurers who had come this far, but was not overly friendly. She patiently awaited the party to approach.

She might have broken down and allowed herself to slap the mage had the wall not begun to crumble.
"Treasure.... right. Although we haven't the foggiest idea where such treasure might be."
"Well...we could ask her."
Ayame motioned towards the newest being in the room. Of course, who knew if this little sprite would suddenly swoop down at them with a jaw like a bear trap. Ayame had sheathed her daisho when Blu needed medical attention, but now she was ready to redraw on a moment's notice. She restrained herself to keep the atmosphere civil.
